A guy in Tampa has an old Corbin seat for a 1200, only asking $30 and you'll see why when you see the pictures. My friend Carman that did my Valk leatherwork said he'll redo the entire seat for me as long as the pan is good. I need someone to pick it up for me and bring it on a lunch ride. You can see roughly where it is on the ad which has a map attached, I'm waiting on his address. If anyone will do this, lunch is on me at the next RTE.

Yes, I'm familiar with that little burg, sometime I'll tell you a story about a couple residents of that fair city.  Wink  One fits this.....  crazy2

I can't leave just now, Rita's been pretty bad as of late, really sick yesterday and today. My breakfast this morning was twice as much as she's eaten the last two days. There's a lady at church that might be able to come stay with her so I can drive over myself. Have to check with her Sunday. I'd pay for the stuff ahead of time so all anyone would have to do is pick it up for me. No hurry on delivery, just when we can hook up on a ride.

The guy said he lives in south Tampa, that's quite far from you isn't it? I appreciate the offer but seems like it's a far piece for you, maybe I'm not familiar with how Tampa is laid out.

South Tampa is easy for me over the Gandy Bridge. I'm free anytime.

John and Bill.  Bill C if you pick it up we can meet you where we did all the seat swapping on our way to the cottage all the time. We can pick it up on the late evening of the 19th and I can get it to the cottage.  Just a thought as I know your work is close to the seller but you are not close to John.   Might have a ride soon to Kissimmee.

Wow, thanks loads guys. Just let me know who will pick it up and when so I can get an address and let the seller know. Can't tell you how much I appreciate this. The seat looks pretty bad in its present form, but just wait on the finished product. For $30 I figured I couldn't lose.  cooldude

UPDATE: I just talked to the seller, told him one of you guys works nearby and he said he'd run it over to you if I give them his phone number. The seat is already paid for so I just need to know who and when so I can notify him. He's at work right now.  Thanks again.

That would be a bit hard to ride on, considering the holes in the leather. Would you suggest I leave the rust(patina) as is?   Grin

John, Sherry works a 1p to 9 shift at the Verizon building down town tpa.  If he could meet Sherry in the Church parking lot where we pay through the nose for the Princess spot this will work for us and we can then take it to the cottage as the next stop.  This would be a tight window for Sherry with a meet time of 12:45p and it would be best if Sherry was earlier than normal waiting for him as you have to have a pass to stay parked in the lot. But he can enter the lot no problem. No booth no guard posted. It would have to be this week as she has special training starting the 15th at another loc.  If so,  Saint Andrews Episcopal church parking lot at the corner of E Twigs and North Morgan. Keep us posted.

Try $130 per mo   tickedoff

Jerry, whatever you folks work out is fine with me. Having someone do this for me is great and I can't tell you how much it's appreciated. Says a lot about our Florida bunch. If you get it to the cabin, then I'll make arrangements for picking it up, or....I'm going to try and join the gang this Sat. but don't know how hard it would be for someone to carry it over for me. I'll put my trunk mount on just in case, I can carry it easy on that with the trunk removed. Keep me posted and I'll follow along.

I will re discuss this with Sherry tonight and figure a day as long as he is able to meet at such a specific time the rest is easy.  The cottage has codes to get in so you can get it anytime or depending the numbers of bikes that leave from the cottage on a ride determines the carry feasibility. I don't have bags on the 1800 as of yet.

Jerry, I don't think if would fit in saddlebags anyway. Someone with an old Valk with the corider seat in place should be able bungee it down....or an I/S also. Had a friend once carry my I/S tank on his I/S for me all the way from Eutis to my house. That was about 13 yrs. ago shortly after I got my bike, was quite a sight going down the road.  Grin

I carried the gas tank Eddie gave you from the Champion Honda place a few years back also. Fit quite nicely as my back seater if I remember.... Grin
