Another beautiful winter day here in Central Texas...

Blanco River just off FM1888

Great way to spend Super Bowl Sunday!

This unusually mild winter has got to generate some great rides which should generate some great pics...let's see 'em!

Two February profile pics...

One was taken with an iPhone, the other a $2000 camera system -- can you tell which is which!

I'd say the top pic is the IPhone Charlie. If the bottom pic is the IPhone, you better ditch that $2000 camera, it's a bad investment.LOL

I'd say the top pic is the IPhone Charlie.

As a fellow photographer, I'd say you set us up with a trick question!
The top photo is backlit, you can tell because the shadow stretches forward. Plus the brown hill behind the bike has lots of cool trees that pull the eyes away from the Valk. It's a great snapshot.

Now, that bottom photo is lit from above (it was almost exactly noon, right?) Plus it has a clean blue sky as the background. Basically, it has a better angle and composition than the top one, so it would be a better photo even if you snapped it with a toy camera!

What do I win?  cooldude

Ha, ha!  Didn't mean for this to be a trick question.  I just happened to be looking at the two photos and was pleasantly surprised at how good the iPhone pic looked compared to the fancy camera system...

...drum roll...the bottom pic was done with the iPhone.  The only thing that bugs me about the photo is the distortion caused by the little bitty lens.  If you look closely at the front tire, it is not perfectly round.  The color is really brilliant making the sky bluer than blue, but looks good to me.

For editing purposes, the top photo would always win out.  There is more digital information with this photo and when I zoom in on the pictures the top picture stays crystal clear and the iPhone pic fades way pretty quick.

Nevertheless, the iPhone 6 has a pretty good camera and has the potential to give you a good photo...especially when there is a Valkyrie in it!
