Hello guys, im from Mexico and parts are hard for my bike. i have not been able to find an electric shut-off valve for my ride. im a bit scared because the vacuum valve on the manual valve is not working and i always forget to shut off the fuel when i get off the bike.

does anyone knows if an specific car uses this kind of valve? every time i ask for this kind of part the desk guys want to know what car it is for so they can look at the computer. every time i tell them that im going to use this on a motorcycle they say "i just dont know what you want and i dont know if i have it"

I was thinking to build a simple alarm that will sound when the key is OFF and the fuel is either on reserver or on.

if you have an equipment rental place near you. i'm sure they use electric shutoff solenoids on most of their equipment. might wanna try there.
i know for a fact all jlg, genie, skyjack boom and sizzor lifts that have dual fuel engines use an electric shutoff valve.
they run them on the fuel side and the l.p. side. they should be able to get you what you need. just tell them you want an inline fuel shutoff valve.
heres the part number for a jlg 40 rts sizzor lift fuel shutoff valve. 4640391. the cost is 71.98    and the factory has 38 in stock.

There isn't a way you can order a Dan Marc online and have it shipped to you ? And a cover set ?

Have you tried to rebuild the petcock. It will probably be a lot cheaper than buying a shut off valve. You can get it on eBay. You can get the shut off valve there too.

Replace that OEM with a Pingel and get in the habit of turning it off when not riding. I put a label on the windshield right above the gauges reminding me to turn off the gas and the power to the spot lights. Now it is habit just like the old days.

+1. My biggest problem is canceling turn lights. Installed a piezo buzzer to remind me. Maybe a buzzer wired in some way?
