Met him at Cracker Barrel in Lakeland this morning, got the rag tag looking seat and had a nice chat. I made a big mistake driving over, I needed to get off at exit 33 so had 33 on my mind. As a result, like a dummy I got off at highway 33 and it took a few minutes for it to sink in that I had screwed up. A "U" turn and headed back to I-4, west a few more miles and I'm at EXIT 33.  Embarrassed  Oh well, only brain fart so far today but plenty of time left for another.

Before I left, I went inside and got a take-out order of chicken and dumplings.....one of Rita's favs. Earned me a big smile and a hug when I got home, she didn't know it was coming. cooldude

Thanks again Bill for your help in getting the seat to me, you're a lifesaver.

Turns out I was a week ahead of myself on the ride. The one I'm hoping to hit is next Saturday, the 20th, not tomorrow. So tomorrow I spend some time getting things ready for my youngest daughter and family except her 22 yr. old daughter. She graduated from U or Wis. last year and doesn't really have any vacation time saved up at her current position. This time it's just mom, dad, 18 yr. old son and 8 yr. old "got my daddy wrapped around my little finger" daughter.  Wink  Will be here a week, then shortly after that my other remaining daughter comes down for a week to see her oldest daughter(36) get remarried. So, I get to spend some time with both my gals, really looking forward to it.

Folks, while I'm thinking of it....please keep Rita in your thoughts. She's excited about the upcoming visits but is really having a bad time just now. The girls know her situation and wait on her hand and foot, which helps but right now she's really sick. Mostly nausea with some constant muscle cramping, the nausea is especially rough because she can't eat and at 94 lbs. she can't afford not to.

Glad to hear that you are going to be able to spend some time with your girls, that is important. Thoughts and prayers for Rita, she has been through a lot, enjoy your Valentine weekend and spoil her this weekend before your girls come into town.

John,

Nothing like getting to spend time with children and grandchildren. Viv and I just returned this pm from a trip to Charleston and spending time with the grandchildren since Tuesday.

As for Rita and you as well, we will pray for you in our prayers chain.

Thanks everyone, she seems to be doing a lot better today. Not nearly as sick as usual, it's her Parkinson meds that really do a number on her. Add in the rest and it really turns the stomach. I had to kid her a bit, told her it was her anxiety knowing she was going to have to sleep with me for most of the next two weeks while my gals visit us. And of course, being the gal that she is, she agreed with me. She's ornery as cat pee!   2funny
