I am buying the harbor freight wheel chock and wnat to know how wide (or long) I sould make the platform (portable) to bolt it to so that the bike will not fall over.  also, when you use the harbor freight wheel chock, will it stay vertical if i sit on it for adjusting  highway pegs?

HF has 2 different wheel chocks.....   I got the cheaper one for my lift (when I had it) but ultimately mounted it to a piece of 2' x 3' diamond plate (plywood would work).   I also have a LA Chock (which I had even before the HF chock) and HF also has one that looks and works similar to my LA Chock for a darn good price....

Here are the 2 different ones they have.... and I would opt for the 1st one (use a coupon too).

Item Nr 97841     $ 59.99  current price

Item Nr 96349     $ 39.99  current price

Ive got the second one shown.  I bought the first one initially but my stock front tire would not fit in it.  I have the second one mounted to a board and yes I can sit on the bike and adjust whatever I need.  Check out this recent thread for more info.

I have two of the second one. both are mounted on my trailer. One for the Valk/ST the other for the HD. I mounted them so that the bikes are balanced over the axle so much less tongue weight on the truck.  I can move it around with both bikes loaded with just my finger tips.

You can sit on the bike with it in the chocks.

I took advantage of the Internet price of $29.99

Thinking about getting a couple more for the garage.

I seem to get a 20% off coupon every week or two.  But you have to sign up and provide your email address on their website www.harborfreightusa.com
