The location, under the fender where the back section comes apart. My problem, getting an intermittant short in the br/w tailight wire, it's narrrowed down to the loom that goes to the tailight assembly, and I'm not finding it in the taillights. By elimination, looks like it has to be here.

Could be. Take it apart (remove the rear fender segment) and look for nicked insulation. Not the best situation under there...it's a decent enough connector, but the wiring out of it gets confined in a little metal cover/fender thingy.
Also look at the wiring on the underside of the fenders...it's sort of covered by some metal tab things and can get damaged by debris or the tabs themselves.

Yes, when I bought my first Valkyrie back in 2013. I did not realize that my rear shocks were shot and everytime I used to go over a bump, I used to blow the 10A fuse. When I took the back portion of the rear fender off I noticed that most of the wires were frayed right before the 6 pin connector. With the sheathing off, the bare wires were rubbing against each other causing this short. Upgraded to IS shocks after that and replaced the 6 pin connector as well. No problems so far.

Hey Mark,, wondering if you were ever able to get a nominal current reading across the fuse block position where the tail/meter fuse goes? The data Gryphon RIder posted shows that if the circuit is drawing 12 amps or so, the fuse may hold for a couple of hours before it blows as yours did. If you don't find an intermittent short, get friendly with the amps function on your meter,, it can help lead you right to the problem if it is an overcurrent situation. Hope you locate the problem soon

Yup, that harness was available from honda a couple years ago.... that is what I did.
