I purchased an electronic cruise control for the Valkyrie from a company in Australia. I live in southern Indiana and would like to know if any one in this area would be able to install it.

If I remember right, there's a member "TERMITE" who
knows about those cruise controls...

If I was in Southern IN I'd help you out, I installed that unit on my 1999 IS and it works flawlessly.  Took me about 8 hours to install it but then again I took my good old sweet time since it was too damn cold to ride anyway.  Should be somebody up that way that can lend a hand.

He hasn't posted anything here in a while...     RLSOUCY1@JUNO.COM
is the email address listed for him.

I installed a McCruise on my 99 tourer six or seven years ago. Although a complex install, the directions and photos made it pretty clear. My suggestion would be for you to give it a try before farming it out.

Sit down before you look at the price.

Yes, it's pricey. I don't have one yet for the F6b but it is on the wish list. I've never heard anything but good about this company or product. Many F6b owners are using this and I would imagine they work as well for the Valks.

Hmmmm

350 monkey
75 big bag of peanuts
15 tiny helmet
5 tiny glasses
25 walmart cell phone (I'm not an animal)

seems cheaper to train a monkey to work the throttle than buy that thing!

I put mine in and it took about the same time.  Check where the pickup mounts next to the brake drum to confirm it clears the magnets.  I recheck periodically because mine move over time and got destroyed.  And BTW the price has been dropping steadily over the last few years as the American dollar continues to grow stronger against, well everything.
