I found some of these old pics from around Christmas of 2000.....this was one of the nicer trees we found for the Community Christmas tree....this is the lady and her granddaughter who donated it.....it looks to be around ~40ish feet tall....

The actual cutting of the tree has always been my job for the last 13 yrs...

This pic gives a little more idea of the scale of the tree.....

It used to be "fun" back the first 2-3 yrs I did it.....now it's just work.....but it has to be done..... cooldude

I don't get it!!! In some of those pics, it almost looks like
you're actually WORKING!! Unless of course it's an optical
illusion....or Photoshop.....or somebody's forcing you. Grin

Christmas tree day starts at about 6am and ends at 11pm that night for my crew....we have to get it installed in a special sleeve in the ground(after having to "whittle" the larger trunk down to a 10" diameter) and get about 4 long strands of 1,600 LED lights on it...then we only have 2 days to get all the other ornaments on it before the Christmas parade....where Santa throws "magic" dust on it to light it at the end of the parade....rain, wind, freezing temps?....doesn't matter....the "show" HAS to go on.... cooldude

can't see is my Boss holding the whip.......just out of camera range.....her stress level is sometimes quiet high....proportional to the size of the tree...... cooldude
