Born yesterday. Just got the word. I'm offshore at present so will be a couple weeks before I get a chance to see the baby. Might make a run to North Carolina and then head up to the Fall Color ride. Got to make a decession.

30 years ago when I was born my maw maw flew up from Atlanta to be in Charlotte when I was born. Paw Paw was off driving a truck. Maw maw's flight was delayed three hours and it would have been faster to drive, but that is another story. Maw maw used Dad's brand new polaroid camera to take pictures of me. They didn't wait for the pics to develop. She stuck them in an envelope. She then took the envelope to the closest truck terminal. She went to the dispatcher and told them what she needed. Those pics were handed off from driver to driver down the east coast until they made it to my Paw paw the next day out on his long run.


Your being off shore reminded me of that story.

It is amazing how resourceful people could be before the internet. How did they ever survive?
