Good for you. I've been riding the last 2 or 3 days BUT I'm finding my Vic almost too much to handle in stop and go situations. After all I ain't as young as I used to be.

I was thinking about downsizing or going to 3 wheels so yesterday I went and test drove a Polaris Slingshot. Impressive and exhilarating  BUT it's not a motorcycle. So today I removed my heavy trunk and found that I can probable get another year or two of riding it now that it handles better for my old body.

PS... to yb... are you riding at all???

Not sure I'll be riding this summer Ron....time will tell.
Nerve damage effecting left leg has taken it's toll over the past 10 years....
And it's pissed me off to no end... tickedoff

It may sound odd Ron but if your not putting on a lot of miles on each ride, keep you fuel level down a bit. That full tank of gas with the tank up high makes a big difference.

Maybe you need an F6B with no trunk and gas tank under the seat !!!

I'm rolling with a positive attitude Ron.....
But reality is looking me straight in the eye....

On a side note, I am cultivating grey hair and sampling lots of craft brews !!   crazy2

Suffice it to say; all EMG testing shows an interruption in 2 different nerves
affecting 2 different sections of my left foot and left leg.
I have had more MRI imaging done than I can count....magnets turned every
different direction capturing images from all angles.
Absolutely nothing shows for irregularities along my spine....
The general consensus among neurologists, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic
spine surgeons is; the interruption of both sciatic and peroneal nerves "has to be
hidden behind old scar tissue in the lower spine".
Absolutely no reputable surgeon will 'go in blind' and look around for something to fix.

Seems as I have been to most every specialist between EMMC in Bangor
to Harvard Medical just outside Boston.....I'm pushing to expand the search area,
as a solution has to be found before I lose all use of my leg.

I'm not ruling out riding this summer....May have to pick Dan-Bury's brain
about riding a hack !!!   laugh

Terry, you've got a great attitude!  There are options: hack, trike, Can-Am.  Martin got a side car for his HD.  He could give you advice.  I've lost his number, but Bernie has it if you want to talk to Martin.  Hang in there man.  I can't imagine you not being in the wind.

 Cool

I hate to hear the term nerve damage because it usually comes with a load of pain, that sure sucks Terry.
A sidecar can be a bunch of fun. You can now get two hot women to ride with you,,, oh crap, Laurel doesn't read this does she ??? Or you now have the largest right side saddle bag you ever saw !!!

Seriously they are fun to ride and, unlike a trike, you can pull the hack off and ride it as a solo motorcycle. Mine can be removed in less than a half hour with only 4 bolts. I slide it off and ride the bike alone and roll it back together all the time.

Tony, I had totally forgotten about Mah-ten hacking his RoadGlide.....will keep him in mind.
Dan-bury, I'll go with the hack as my first option if I need additional wheels. I really like
the idea of a 'quick change' going from 2 wheels to 3 or vise-versa.
