I got my 15" shield about a week ago. I just installed it where it wanted to sit but I think I need to adjust it..  I get a lot of buffeting right at my helmet while going over about 50 or so. I don't know if it is the placement of the shield (either too low or not upright enough, etc.) or just the way that it goes with a 15" shield and the euroflip. Anyone else run into this issue? I am 5'8" and it almost makes it unbearable to drive over 50.

Also forgot to mention that where it is installed right now it binds the throttle cables when close to full lock to the left. I thought about adjusting the windshield up to try and help the buffeting, but it would seem that would make the cable binding worse.

I am pretty mechanically inclined but is it just me or trying to install this Gustafson hardware a pain in the ass. Come on Honda you can build one of the best motorcycles on the market yet your colleage guys can't  design a descent windshield that is easy to install.

Is it Honda hardware or Gustaffson hardware?  ??? Undecided

Mine is the supplied Gustafsson hardware, although it looks very similar to the Honda hardware for the Boulevard screen. I am going to fiddle with it this weekend to see if I can get a better placement. Anyone else have a throttle cable binding issue?

Spoke with Gustafson today and they said to make sure the clamps with the wing nut face outward just can't get over the fact that Honda did not put any thought in this windshield issue.

Thanks for the tip. Not sure what they mean about the wingnut though.. the hardware setup they gave me is the one seen on this page:

http://bikescreen.com/collections/popular-items/products/honda-goldwing-valkyrie-f6c-2014-2015

maybe where the cylinder part attaches to the handlebar clamps?

There should have been two threaded wing nuts that screw into the hole where you remove the small Allen screws to secure the rods

euro flip makes buffeting worse , imo .

I mounted one of these on mine , fixed the buffeting
Had the same one on my BMW , fixed it too , no more buffeting , unless you are going 95 mph or more , then  you get a little

Mine also has annoying buffeting! may just go with the ugly tall Honda shield (that would be my 3rd shield-ugh)!

Do you happen to have a pic with it installed? I'm curious as to how it attaches.

If I get buffeting I will either cut the euro off or just sell it.

It seems like the best way to eliminate buffeting is to let air through the shield by venting the screen or by raising the shield so air comes under it.
Raising it worked pretty good for me with my windshield on a budget.
I picked up a smoke tinted Slipstreamer Spitfire.  less than $70.
Looks as good as others I've seen only a lot cheaper. The shape of the bottom edge is almost perfect for the Valkyrie.  I raised mine up and pulled it back to let air in under it and most of the excessive wind noise was eliminated.
I'm 6'1" these days......I've shrunk an inch LOL.  I positioned the screen just below my line of sight so I can look over it.

Well took my first ride today with my new 14" Gustafson euro and with a 15 to 20 mile wind it's hard to tell really what's going on with the shield as far as buffeting goes so the jury Is out. Also anyone with this set up even with everything secured is there still a little movement forward and back on the shield I have some.

I don't think you are probably alone in your analysis.  I have a Gustuffson Touring screen that I ordered with their hardware this last riding reason and spent the fall trying to get the thing to stay in one place.  It seemed that every time that I had the aluminum hardware locked down tight, I would take it for a ride and come back with the shield a couple of inches higher and set screws a little looser from wind buffeting.   In fact the right hand rod cam back slightly bent after one ride.  Very frustrating.

Last week, while waiting for warmer weather, I set out in the barn and decided to make my own modifications.  First, I unmounted the supplied gustuffson hardware and mounted a set of OEM boulevard screen hardware.  Second, I removed the boulevard plastic screen (leaving the hardware) and held up Gustuffson plastic to OEM hardware and drilled four new holes.  Third, I mounted the Gustuffson windscreen to the boulevard hardware and took it for a ride.  It was absolutely rock solid with no movement.  Eureka!  But I was concerned about the amount of frontal force placed on the big screen.  So finally, I remounted the gustuffson hardware in addition to the OEM hardware.  While kind of funky it will not go anywhere.
I am 5' 8" and look over the top now.  Top is good, but would like something a little wider to clean up the "side noise".
Here is a link to a picture of it.
