Waiting on delivery April 2nd. Struck a deal with the owner. Need to be patient and wait a couple of weeks to complete. I had sold him it seems, a lot of items off my wrecked IS back in 2011. The windshield, Corbin seat, turn signal, hwy peg, owners manual, tool kit, and chrome WS trim. I already bought a Ultimate seat for when I got another IS, so will be selling the seat as fast as I can. But I really wanted to get that wide Show Chrome windshield again.

Have already just purchased a Yamaha CB unit, to add to the bike. I ride mostly with GW, so it's nice to monitor the conversations while riding.

Next will be driving/fog lights.

Will have to work on my set of GW 1500 engine covers, and get it on the bike as fast as I can.

Fairly close. He's offered to deliver it to me from out of town, that's why the delay.

I believe I went for a few rides with Trevor, he lived in Abby. I didn't know it was him, he had moved up to 100 Mile House. He had posted his bike for sale last fall. I was waiting on spring hoping he would post again, and he did on Fri.

Called him up, chatted for a while. Worked out a deal. Got some fresh pics yesterday, I could show the Boss for her approval. Then now able to start planning on all the things I can finally do to my Valkyrie.

Will be throwing some wrench parties together. Will be able to try a sync job with BonS device. Plus GW maintenance day is coming up April 16, so I'll have a bike to take there for the spring check up. Need to buy my oil/filter soon.

Enjoy!

LOL  Grin Ya Earl43p, that was nice.

meathead, I also like the 2 tone pods. I like that from the IS I missed last year.

I need to get the reflectors again for the saddle bags. I suppose on my next order for parts.

I noticed that the Valkyrie logo on the gas tank, the head and words are in Gold. Don't think I've seen that anywhere. Is it stock, or something that someone painted?

If I remember correctly somebody had them done up and were selling them for a while. Very unique and desirable.  cooldude I thought it looked like the reflectors had been replaced with led's ? No ?

I haven't seen the bike in about 3 years. The owner says it's still in good condition, so I took his word on it.

From the fresh pictures, I can't tell what is there. Looks like writing. I will just need to wait and see, Apr 2 fast approaching (10 more sleeps).

Arrived in the morning, took a little while to unload it from the trailer, and get things settled. Turned out he insured it for the road for 3 days, so he could have a last ride, and it would be insured incase of any accidents while trailering down from 108 Mile House. So it still had valid insurance for the day.

Sure a nice day (24C), so I couldn't resist a short shake down ride, from home to the Border and back. Took a little to get used to that flat car tire on the back. Felt a lot better at Hwy speeds. Needed to take it slow, a new Metzler on the front, only 40 miles.

Waited till I had some shade to take the pictures in, so I just hooked up the trailer and pulled the two out from the parking garage.

Me on my new bike.

too serious.

My whole setup. Ready to travel.

Thanks guys, bike has been moved...

Now time to get some work parties together. Going to insure on the 12th is the weather is worth riding, or the 14th for the monthly Valk meeting. Just in time for the 16th GW maintenance day in N. Van. Oil change, plugs, and inspect those pipes to see what I can do to get the noise down. Looks like the piggies are cut.

Then maybe a sync. Get a chance to figure out my digi-sync. Anyone for a sync also?

 Gordon

Is this a one owner bike? Is the trailer hitch aftermarket or homemade?  I fitted a hitch to a friends  Green and silver Interstate probably 10 years ago. He sold the bike soon after I installed the hitch. I always wondered where that bike went to?  Nanaimo is the last place it was based. There can't be to many  Green and Silver  Interstates in BC.

I think I meet Trevor in 2011, and he had just bought the IS from a western US state, can't remember which one.

I believe it's a steel Hitch Doc, hidden hitch, but needs repainting (sanding).

I was looking in the Honda Valkyrie Accessory catalog that someone had posted back last year, and the Head Emblem was there in gold.

So it was Honda that had done these. These are the only ones I think I've seen. Nice to have something unique.
