Ok, this was quick and dirty, using Jack's old photostash tutorial.  This will show you how to add a photo to photostash, copy the direct link to the photo,  and post it here.

Part 1: Add photo to photostash, copy link to clipboard.

Part 2.  Post photo on message board

Obviously there are lots of places you can store your pictures online besides photostash.  All you need to post a picture here is the DIRECT LINK to the photo.  Paste that between the IMG tags and you are golden.

Is there any way to post from my pc, I read the tutorial, it's all greek to me.  Remember when I was young they had just invented the dial phone!  Huh? Huh?                                                               How about a link in the additional options, I know how to use that.

Dan...

Once you have the link to the picture it is pretty easy...

you will notice the little symbol on the middle line of graphics.  This is the Insert Image command button.  When you click it, it put the "[img ]http://[ /img]" command (without the spaces) in your post.  All you have to do is paste the link to your picture between the ]['s.  Your link can not have spaces in it.  You can also paste the link to the post, highlight it, then click the Insert Image button.  The really big thing to remember from all of this...there can not be a space or character return anywhere in the image command line.  If you use the second method, you have to make sure you do not have either.

I am going to post your picture so you can see it.  You won't be able to see the code I used until you click the Quote button in the upper right corner of my reply.

Hope this helps.

I QUIT !

Hey Wizard...don't quit that easily.

On your first attempt, you tried using the website that the picture was on....not the picture itself.  You have to use the link to the picture itself.  For the first one...the link is http://lh3.ggpht.com/_A2-R_IBB8ec/SWvauI8P0LI/AAAAAAAAGOE/FI2GaleyRbA/s800/DSCF0563.JPG  i got it by right clicking on the picture and selecting Copy Image Location.

On your second attempt, you didn't insert the picture in the Insert Picture Commands...[ img][ /img] (without spaces).

Hope this helps.

Close, Aces.

Highlight the url (starting with http, ending with JPG) and click the image icon above and left just below the B.

It should do this:

No smileys or spaces within the image markers, Jeff, and you split your brackets.

The easiest way to do it is paste the link, highlight it, and then click on the image icon.

You should be able to resize them smaller using something like the software irfanview.  There are plenty of different photo editors that can make them smaller, use what works for you.

Here is a tutorial using irfanview: http://www.somewhere-in-time.net/tutorial/irfanview/

Post edited.  You need to insert the address from the properties of the individual pic.  You copied the address of the album which included two pics.

If you'll click on "Modify" in the upper right you will be able to see the code.   -   Willow
