Hello. All,
I have a 1998 Valkyrie. Went to the Harley Shop to shoot the breeze and low and behold they had a 2014 Valkyrie trade in.  Honda saddle bags , boulevard windshield, LED fog lights, Corbin gunfighter seat and LEDS installed on each side. I got it for $11500 OTD. All I can say is OMG!!!  Pulls like a train. Fast. Smooth. Carves the twistys with ease. Here are some pics.

I have now in my garage my 27th Harley and my F6C is my 27th Honda. All I can say is the asshat that traded a Valk on a Harley has to have sh!t for brains....I can see having an affection for HD's, many of us do but, DAMN! It was your lucky day with bags and Corbin seat, Looks super.

Awesome!  Congrats!  cooldude

The only thing I can possibly think of, of why someone would trade in a Valk for a Harley, is that they decided that they wanted a two-up tourer.  But then why a Harley over an F6B is anyone's guess  ???

And now, you get to be my guinea pig  laugh  Wink  I'm looking at the Corbin seats so, as a person who has just started in one on our Valks, what do you think of it?

You are right, faster and smoother than a 1500,     I loved my 1998 STD but when I test rode the 2014 1800 it was all over but how to pay 4 it. To bad I had to sell my 1300 VTX and was lucky to sell my 1500 to a Harley riding friend, now hes his Harley for day rides and the Valkyrie for our long week end rides, or the week trips we take. I think by mid summer he will be riding the Valkyrie most of the time, because its smoother and faster than his Road King.
Oh buy the way welcome to the club, as long as you ride and like what you have thats all that matters.......

I talked to the guy that owned the Valk. He just wanted a HARLEY Road King. Which worked out great for me. cooldude

Don't bet the farm, though... Big Al, who doesn't post here anymore, is one of the
best riders among us... he had a couple of Valkyries and thought they were OK,
but he likes his Harleys a lot more...

I get it
The new Valk leans towards being  aggressive , the road kind is a high way sofa .
To each his own .
How can you criticize a guy for preferring/liking  something different .
The previous owner did put over 9K miles on it ,  many more than most here have gone , well , so far
Personally , I'd be bored on a road sofa , unless I was going really long distance

No offence, I don't know you well, and all the other disclaimers...
you might pee in your pants if you got in an aggressive contest
with Big Al...

It doesn't make sense though...that is if he really is an aggressive rider why a Roadking?  The RK doesn't handle nearly as well, and if it is stock, does not have the same HP to weight ratio...  He must have wanted the Harley for another reason.  It's cool..this is all for fun...  I betcha this though...'Big-Al' on his 1800 Valk would SMOKE Big Al on his RK... Wink

I'm pretty sure Al doesn't agree... he's compared it to a few other bikes...

I understand not wanting a Harley - I don't want one... I don't understand
thinking they are inferior... not when there's a lot of people who prefer them
and can eat up the twisties on them...

I swear , when I stop at a red light , the Valk  stays upright  for almost few seconds before I have to put my feet down  , it's that well balanced with the weight being down low .
Even my BMW could not do that
