Just ordered kit to cover the pieces taken out when passenger handles removed. My question is, the bolts removed, are they retained for keeping fender intact? and the best way to remove the current inserts. Hope to have replacement panels by Wed.

Most everything I have removed has tabs or push pins, this seemed a little tighter than normal so I thought I would ask someone that has done this.

Answer is no.  The four bolt holes will be left open the blanks are three screws each for each blank inserted while the fender is upside down.    You will keep the bolts in a safe baggy or something for the day you might go back for bags or whatever.

Thanks for the reply. Have a container that I keep all parts I remove for future replacement.
Saw the picture of your bike with this modification and really liked it.
