They are open for business, but I would give it a week or so to calm down.  Went by there at lunch time, parking lot was full and looked like each drive through had a line of at least 10 cars. Make a good weekend spot for lunch when it calms down.

Here in this area don't have one but we have 2 Aurelio's Pizza joints. The only place i can get a real pizza. They all make what I call flat bread with pizza like ingredients on them. You order a large pizza at Aurelio's you get 3 pounds of ingredients on an almost invisible crust covered all the way to the edge. No waiste. Patio restaurant is also a good one back in Chicago area suburbs. They are in the So West area along with Portillo's  Smiley

What is this place you speak of? Is it something I need to try soon?

Actually, they won't open until April 12th at 10:30a.

The line you saw was a test run, there will be a few more before they open but this is all training for the big day.  (I was in that line and will be there again Friday)

//Join us on Tuesday, April 12th at 10:30 am as we open the doors to our first Florida Portillo's location in Brandon. The Brandon Portillo's will be the 42nd Portillo's location. Founder Dick Portillo is scheduled to attend and is looking forward to greeting fans and thanking them for their support over the last 53 years.//

It will be a frequent stop for us!  I grew up near Villa Park and my dad and I used to get hotdogs there and go watch the planes take off and land at OHare.

Nick, Sherry and I will not make it up this weekend, however we are definitely going to 1500 around south of that bridge. As a matter of fact we have really been putting on some evening runs that get us home all bugged up and after dark with bellies full as Sherry is in Verizon to Frontier training on systems and home early enough to go out and the season is almost over at the purple cow and I don't have shows to stay for.  I want to post a ride next Saturday the 23rd. I hope you are able to go as I want a report on the Italian Beef.  Looks like Jack has got this problem called work and can't come out and play.   Embarrassed
