I was wondering if anybody has made their own?
Are chocks made to hold bike upright without using kickstands?

Sounds like a great project... I weld, so if anyone has made their own and its very stable, please add a pic... I would just as soon buy a little steel, and make my own......Thank you again... I do really appreciate any idea's and help from you,  so don't think I don't, cause i really do...

I have a mechanical bike lift that supports the bike on the center stand attach points. It helps out so much while I'm doing all the mods.

Pretty much the same thing as a chock!

If you put stands under the engine guards it will support the bike level.

I haven't made my own (I can't weld), but Harbor Freight puts theirs on sale every so often.  I got mine that way.

The basic idea, as you ask, is to hold the front tire immobile and vertical.  Once you roll the front tire in there, there's no need for a kickstand.

In more detail, you want a lever of sorts where the weight of the front tire keeps it locked into the chock.  Note the pivot point of the bottom cradle in the below images.  Should be fairly simple to create one since you know how to weld.

I just put on a goldwing center stand.  I have used it so much I don't know how I ever did without one on my old valk.   Cheesy
