Has anyone had any success with the blue tooth products on the market?  I have looked at Chatterbox, Seven Zero Seven, etc, but I hear various noise about them all.  I don't need anything fancy, just something I can sync to phone for directions, MP3 etc.

Thanks

I recommend the sena 20s, with a full face helmet it works well at highway speeds.

We recently got the Sena 20s. It's been good but still getting used to it. There are many different features to it.

Also, if you do go with the 20s check around for prices. They vary greatly. I think I ended up getting ours on Amazon.  cooldude

I have used the Sena SMH10 for a year and a half. I love this product! I can send/receive phone calls , send/receive text msgs, activate Pandora and utilize Siri, all with one touch. I can have a normal conversation with my wife at 85mph and she can hear me better than the earbuds on my I Phone. My turn signal is harder to use. Highly recommended. Got mine through Revzilla, $165.00, single rider unit. Wish my road dogs had the same unit. Oh well. Not much of a coversationalist anyway. Just buy one. You won't be sorry.

I rarely talk on the phone period. But when our granddaughter was being airlifted to Vegas and we were 500 miles from home hauling ass to get back. It was pretty comforting for my wife to be in the loop about what was going on. I think what I like most about them is being able to communicate with my riding buddies about stops, hazards, etc.

Been using a uClear HBC-100 plus for the past 2 years. Absolutely no issues. What I like about this unit is that there no stupid boom mike sticking out, the mic is actually built into the speakers.

I've got the Sena 10 . Wife got me the dual set last fall. I've had the Scala G9, in fact still do,but that set is back in the box. May put it up for sale. Have really liked having the Sena, and my buddy I ride with the most, he also has it.  It really adds a nice dynamic to going on rides with others and being able to carry on a conversation  bike to bike. The Scala was capable of this, but seemed more cumbersome. I mostly used it for answering phone calls .

I have a Cardo Scala Rider G9, which works very well for me, but does way more than what you need it to do.  Because of my good experience with Cardo, if I had the same requirements as you, I would seriously consider the Cardo Qz.

Here's a thorough review of it.  Webbikeworld has reviews of most other units of various brands worth considering as well.

Right, I especially don't want to be talking to the wife.  After all, that's why I'm riding!

I have the Sena SMH10. I can link to both my phone and GPS simultaneously + intercom. The Bluetooth link to my Android works well and provides just "acceptable" fidelity for music. On the same SMH10, the Bluetooth link to my Garmin Zumo works well but the fidelity is voice quality at best so it's good for turn-by-turn and talk radio but that's about it. I also have a wired system (Ed Sets) on my IS and it beats the Sena hands down. Much better fidelity, adjustable bass/treble, and, of course, the batteries never run down.

I got the Sena SMH10-11 and installed it in a Shoei Neotec. Took about 20 minutes to route the wires and adjust the internal pads but the end result looks very professional.

The sound quality is good enough, but keep in mind the helmet *will* affect the sound quality (e.g. one of my friends has the same bluetooth headset in a Harley modular helmet and can barely hear the music while riding in the highway).

One tip: if you ride 2 up, you can safe money by getting the cheaper SMH5 to pair with the more expensive SMH10 or SMH20, as they work together just fine.

Regards
