Just picked up the OEM hardware for a Hondaline windshield and will be ordering a clearview replacement shield and have a question about the gasket.  Which side does the gasket go on, between the mounting hardware and the shield (Inside of shield) or between the chrome trim and the shield (Outside of shield).  Couldn't find a good parts breakdown to show me and the manual doesn't show it.  I would assume it goes on the inside but you know what they say about assuming anything.

Actually, there should be a rubber gasket between the plastic and any of the metal parts that attach to it. Six pieces in all, 2 pieces of #5, 2 of #8, 1 of #6, 1 of #7.

Thanks John, for some reason the link isn't working.  I'll see if I can find the breakdown somewhere else.

I finally got the link to work John, thanks for the info.  I'll have to take my hardware apart and see if I have two gaskets there, should have done that first.

Just check the hardware and all the gaskets are there, I should have checked first.  As Gilda Rader used to say, Never Mind.

That's hardware's hard to get... gasket or no, the hard part is behind you  cooldude

One more question #19 is a rubber washer that goes on the upper mount on each side, does that go on the outside of the windshield bracket or on the inside against the upper mounting bracket.
