Are all rear brake calipers the same for all 3 models? I thought they were. I looked on Partzilla and it looks like they have 2 types a 43150MT8305 & 43150MZ0006
They go by  gl1500 SE AC, gl1500 CT AC, gl1500C AC  ETC...  Confused Roll Eyes
I have a 2000 Interstate  When I get home I'll check my model sticker.

The IS caliper is black, the other s are silver/grey. Other than that I think they are the same.

The rear brake caliper is wider than the two front brake calipers.. I use rear OEM brake pads on the front of my bike because they are thicker and they last longer.

SE is most likely a GW.

The second letter is most likely the 49 State, and the Calif State, models.

C - Std
CT - Tourer
CF - IS

The Interstate caliper has smaller pistons... whether it would bolt
onto a STD/Tourer and work, I don't know... I wish I had tried, but
when I saw that it was different, I didn't try...

If its an IS caliper they are looking for I do not believe any Interstates were made in '97.  I do have an IS rear caliper that can be had for shipping
