So, after an injury last summer and a lengthy recovery over winter.  My poor bike sat, without winterization and alas I put a hurtin on my Valk.  However, this spring I'm healed and enthusiastic! I've replaced the petcock with a manual Pingle. I've desmogged with a kit from redeye. I've even had my carbs off several times for a good scrub, new K&L float valves, new  K&L bowl gaskets, new pilot O-Rings and springs, new O-Rings for my fuel and air rails and new O-rings for my intakes.  I've even sonic cleaned my jets and needles (which looked awesome when I reinstalled them).

The good news is that now my Valk will start without the choke and runs hard after 3k RPM.

The bad news is that she feels like she has a miss at idle and vibrates like a (gasp) HD.

I've checked for vacume leaks with starter fluid and I got no dice.

Carb wizards and Valk experts I lay my woes to your feet and ask for your wisdom!!

Thanks!

Well you said, " I've even sonic cleaned my jets and needles (which looked awesome when I reinstalled them). " but I wonder if you checked the bore of the 35 jets by passing the proper sized wire through them. Sounds like the may still be partially clogged.

What did you set your pilot jets at. On my Initial setting for my I/S I went with 2.25 from light sitting, with 35 low speed jets. Have you synchronized the carb's yet.

Have you checked spark, or pulled plugs to see if one is fouled, checked plug wires etc?
