I searched the tech forums and found plenty who have put Seafoam in the gas tank, but couldn't find any threads on using Seafoam through the intake.
I bought the Seafoam product that I fed into the intake of my car while the engine was running. Has anyone used this on the Valkyrie? If so how did you feed it into the intake for all 6 carbs?

Get yourself an external tank you can hang on the handlebar and hook up to the fuel line. Pull the main tank and the airbox lid and filter, start bike and go for it, pour into the individual tubes at the bottom of the airbox. I used Berrymans B-12, no mosquitos for a few days and it helped smooth things out. You'll have to keep the RPM up or it will die on you when you start pouring.

Not sure why you would pour it down the intake? Wouldn't it do better through the fuel? If you do go to all that trouble, better pour slowly or you could hydrolock and bend something. Might use the seperate vacuum nipples on the intake tubes, but again slowly.

You might be on to something there with the vacuum nipples. The Sefoam product I used on my car isn't a pour product, it's a spray product. I could rig all six intake nipples to one line to push the Seafoam through. Nice, that just might work.

I think that going thru the carb intakes, not the nipples, would also do some cleanimg of the carb throats that tend to collect varnish from unused fuel after engine shutdown. Many years ago before I put air cleaners back on cars in for service I'd always spray carb cleaner into carb till it looked clean inside. Can't prove it did anything but it might improve airflow being clean.jmo

I don't see enough improvement in his video to make the procedure worthwhile,, plus it is unlikely you bike has deposits like that. I personally wouldn't do it for a variety of reasons,, although it MAY be doing some good on the valves..?

56k I don't think you need to be concerned about any carbon with only that on the clock.

I don't these believe engines are carbon makers, so, I don't see any reason to run cleaner thru the intakes.
I think the Sea-Foam should be run thru the jets.
But, you can do whatever you like.

Being mostly mineral oil Seafoam may actually promote car on buildup used this way.

exactly low temp oils solidify on the back side of the hot valves. this is why I only recommend fuel cleaners based on BMW intake valve cleanness standards. I've posted much on this the last few yrs including gas stations that dispense gas which meets the std.
