Going looking for an auto electric place to rebuild her... I have new brushes on hand for them.

Getting the old one out was tough... but not THAT bad. Is getting it back together worse?

I've done twice. The first time it plopped right in, the second time not so much. Just try to reverse the angle you got it out. And say a prayer before hand.  Smiley

Some have had no trouble, like meatheads post above, and others have be frustrated by it for a week.

I had no trouble with the GW, fully installed and running in 15 min, but it's no Valkyrie. The alt is clocked and the wires are connected differently.

When I did mine, it practically fell out. Putting it back in after repairs, not so much. But, I didn't have to work at it more than a few min. cooldude

Let us know how you make out. I hope it isn't noisy like the rebuilt one I tried a while back......took it out and replaced it with a new one.

Took me about 1/2 hour to get mine off my IS. Plan on it taking about 3x that for the install-YMMV!  Roll Eyes

Cheers!

Took me 20 min to get out.

Took it to a local auto electric place... they say the rotor is bad and they can't fix it.

I ordered one from Partzilla today. It'll be a few days.

Thanks all.
