Author Topic: kuryakyn iso grip throttle removal help.  (Read 659 times)

I had these grips put on about 5 years ago & they are pitted and coming apart. I got the left side off no problemb. But the throttle side is really tight & i don't want to break the plastic throttle assy part. What is the best way to get these off. I thought about splitting it with a dremel tool down the center & trying to peel it off. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Shove a long skinny screwdriver under it or an ice pick, then squirt large amounts of regular rubbing alcohol in there. Try to do it in more than one spot.

Air compressor and blow air under it with a fine tip Nozzle and it will slide off in seconds.

That too, I used both....alcohol then the air. Shot that sucker clear across the garage.  Grin
