carb tuning

Sure hope I'm not wearing out my welcome as I have yet another silly question.
To recap, I've gone through my carbs and, following the advise of many here, just now reset the idle screws from 3 turns out to 2 1/4 and it runs and idles fine going around the block - no noticable pops or stumbles. I think I'm good but will know more when I take her on a lpnger ride.
What I did notice, however, is that when warming up, the left side exhaust emitted a lot more "steam" (white smoke from condensation) than the right side, and that after warming up, the left side was still "stronger" than the right. I'm a big fan of symetry.
Can one determine anything from looking at the exhaust? (Told ya it was stupid....)

I doubt its anything to worry about, seems normal.
If a sync has not been done since the rebuild, it might something to do. Its easy. I use a plain ole vacuum gauge.

boxer engines are known for that on the kick stand side. if still does it after a 15-30 minute ride then its the valve stem seals have dried out. how many miles on bike? how long was it sitting without running.
or could be gummed up, check out

or replace with aftermarket viton seals.

My left side or kickstand side has more water vapor coming out of the exhaust on a cool morning too. When I sit her up on the center stand there is no difference. The carb sync is only good for the slow speed and idel circuit. After about 2500 RPMs high speed jets start to kick in.
