What great engineering to have a single sided swing arm with all its benefits, so why in the world would Honda put the valve stem favoring the right side where all the brake stuff and swing arm live. It should be favoring the left side where you go in to air up the tire conveniently. I'll be getting a set of 90 deg. one piece bolt in valve stems before I install new tires for sure.

If the Valkyrie 1832 is like my F6B then the valve stem would be too close to the rear rotor to put air in easily. I could be wrong about your Valk.
I replaced my F6B OEM 90 degree ones with the metal ones and got rid of the plastic piece that was prone to failure and the valve stem had to be put on the same as the OEMs.

That's exactly what I'm sayin, they point to the rotor to the right instead of the left side, that would be too easy...

So you DO have a 90 degree stem, but it points to the right side????? If so, all you need to do is spin the stem the correct direction next time you change (or just break the bead) of your rear tire. Loosen stem, turn it to the correct side, re-tighten. Easy to do if the tire is OFF. Possible (but difficult) to do if you only break the bead.

No. the stem is to the right of center on the rim, making it difficult to check and add air. You can only do this from the left side. The hole in which the stem mounts to should be drilled left of center. You can't check air pressure or add air from the right side. Also there is a radius in the center of the rim making the stem point to 1 o'clock or directly at the brake rotor.

If you have bags, about the only way to check or add air is to position the stem at the bottom and then lie down on the ground to the left of the rear wheel.

Ahhh.... now I get it. That is a messed up design... I wonder who thought of that??? Your best bet would be a 90 degree valve stem and point it to the left. It won't be perfect, but it would probably make things a LITTLE easier.

Place the valve at the 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock position, looking at the wheel from the left side of the bike, and you should be able to reach the valve without having to lay down on that dirty ground. Then again, maybe being a bit more, um, lithe, I can just about reach the stem no matter where it ends up regardless of my bags.

The stem still points to the right when it should at least be in the middle, but it should favor the left side weather or not you can reach it standing up, lying down or anything in between.

Yup valve stem is not ideal, not to mention a service hose is not really easy to get on the stem either. I will change it out eventually, when it annoys me enough to do something about it.
