This is the first 2 wheeled motorized bike I ever rode. It was a friends and shortly after I talked my dad into letting me buy my own mini bike. Mine was a Bonanza with a 3 and a half hp Tecumseh motor. I later upgraged it to a 5 hp briggs and stratton.

You don't see them around much anymore. Brenda's Dad got one for her and her sister when she was 10. The story they tell is both of them were on it and tried to jump a ditch. That was the poor bikes demise and the end of Brenda's riding career until she met me.  Smiley

Pretty kool Dave. My first was a well used Moped,  half bicycle and half motorcycle. You had to peddle it to get it started. You could put it on the center stand and peddle start it. It Worked great for my early morning paper route. Although we lived at the beach my paper route took me into the hills of Carlsbad. It was especially welcomed on my Sunday route when the SD Union was big, thick and heavy, and some of my customers only took the Sunday Paper so I had to deliver even more of those monster Sunday newspapers. I later bought a newer moped and rode it until I bought my first car, a 1951 ford coupe. I was blessed.....

Sorry to hear about Michael K's health issues. Hope all turns out well for him. He's one of the good guys !

That's nice Dave, but I've got to believe that was in your "shorter" days
