MarkT makes one of a different design that is worth looking at.

Here's a picture of my stays-on-bike adapter with a slot
cut in it for BigBF horns... I think BigBF makes a horn
bracket now that makes slot cutting unnecessary.
Unless there's some downside that we don't know about
with the MarkT stays-on-bike adapter, I think I'd like it better.

I have used my E-bay one on my I/S for several years. Have had both wheels off ,maint, and add ons while raised. Works great. I like the idea of it being there for when and where i may need it. Also it is hidden to where nothing is hanging down to drag etc.

I have the E-BAY lift bracket and it does great & is very sturdy & also heavy. It is a bit hard to get aligned & install the bolts at the same time but it has never failed me. I also made the mistake & left it on one time after using it. Just forgot to take it off got in a hurry i guess. It is not ment to stay on the bike as MARK'S is. I was very lucky it did not come off while i was driving down the highway i could of wrecked the motorcycle. In my opinion i would buy MARK'S lift bracket it would be much safer to use than the one i have. And the fact that it stays on all the time is great you could be out riding and need to raise your bike up for one reason or the other and would be able to do so. The E-BAY bracket stays in the garage it could go in your saddlebag i guess but it is bulky & heavy. Be safe & buy MARK'S i'll get one myself sooner or later myself.

Cliff's Notes ^^ show my opinion.
I like having my MarkT version permanently installed, lightweight and SAFE. I use it every time I clean the bike although the tires stay on the ground. Gives you GREAT stability while doing anything to the machine.

Your thinking of the one that is on and off as needed. This one stays on the bike and is tucked where nothing is hanging down as others. Stays on the bike and secure with crossmember bolts. no coming off of it.
