Talked to Jim from PdC Sunday night and Walt...aka Kingbee....is still in hospital for further observation.  His wife and a neighbor are there as well.  The latest is he has a broken rib, chipped vertebrae in neck but is not serious, broken left thumb and the broken angel bone behind his collar bone. Still having some issues with breathing.

So that is the lastest, Jim from PdC will call hospital tomorrow night to see what new as of then and I will let ya know.

This is the latest that I have heard on Walt's condition.

I talked to him yesterday.
He's planing a private ambulance ride home to finishing mending in his hometown hospital, maybe tomorrow. I don't blame him it can feel more comfortable a few miles from home as opposed to several hundred.

I'm thinking towards the end of the week /end I'll go up and drag his bike [Stinger] home for him.

Personnaly, I'd stay there. With his breaks & fractures the ambulence ride could be merciless. Maybe even the morphine pump won't disguise the bumps.
I know those rides are rough. At least the fire dept. ambulences are. I've had 4 in the last 3 years and the ride was nasty. The EMT blew through both veins with the IV due to the rough rides. And they were only 6 minutes long. He's got breaks/fractures and several hours of possible torment.
A unit with an adjustable air ride might do the trick though.

Since I'm new to this group, I've never met any of you guys. But from what I understand, he's in my area. I'm just north of La Crosse in Winona and if there's anything that I can do to help, I'd be more than happy to. Let me know, and I'll hook you up with my number.

Thanks for the offer Mikey.
It's much appreciated.
But, I think everything's pretty much covered.

Mikey,

You might be new here but just so you know you are one of us for sure.  To offer in such a way brings back the memories of the clubs generosity it's a pleasure to have you with us.

I sure hope Walt is up for that long ambulance ride.  I remember riding those roads going to Winona three years ago for a motorcross race and I recall my uncle on a wing was in front of me and we were going around a curve and he hit a dip in the road and it pre-loaded him out of the bike's lean and he was heading straight across traffic to the other lane.  It was a good thing no one was coming around the curve and all i saw was sparks from his peg or something when it dipped and then shot him straight up and into the on other lane.

Heel up Walt...  Your willingness to share the knowledge you have and the contributions that you have made to help many of us out.  I think it is our turn to return the favor Smiley   Anything you need for the bike or Dfrag if you need a hand you know where to come...  I think their is an army of VRCC members ready and willing to help any way we can....

I just miss seeing him posting on the board  Undecided     What a great guy he is!  We miss you bro!    Sounds like you are missing home too and will risk the ride in an ambulance to be closer to home... i can understand but I hope he gets a soft ride home...

Your in my prayers Walt.
