I'd like to add the SoCal driving lights to my 2014 Valk.  Would like to get confirmation from those who have installed these that the running lights (the L.E.D.'s around the outside) and the fog lights work without a special harness?  I'm going to have the dealer install these, but I want to make certain these are a straightforward install.

Anything else I need to know?  Best place to buy them?
(Not installing them myself because condo association won't allow any work on cars)

Thanks,
Steve

Steve, the SOCAL lights are in a period of development through Admore Electronics. I too have that set of lights and am in touch with Admore, there is a harness being made now that will work on the Valkyrie and hopefully be ready soon.
The main problem is that the Valkyrie is an all LED system that works on and ECU and uses very low voltage to trigger the system. I have already paid for the harness and it ran about $50. well worth the wait for the end result.
Also, see Moofner's thread on Admore and SOCAL lights.

I'm very much interested in this thread because I bought a Big Bike Parts Led Fog Light Kit, I mounted it but I couldn't find any harness on my french F6c. I asked a dealer to fix it but he said " We don't  fix after market parts, we only fix OEM" (=we don't know crap, we're just able to plug and play). tickedoff

The fog and the daytime running lighs (White, the lights around the outside) work fine without a harness and everything is supplied in the kit when you buy them. The issue comes in when you want the running lights to flash yellow like turn signals, that requires the harness that Moofner has designed. If you look at the recent posts you will find all the information on this.

I have the So Cal fog lights and purchased the Admore harness so I can actuate the yellow turn signals.  It turns out that the Admore harness sends a positive signal to the lights but the Valkyrie requires a negative signal.  Relays will solve the problem all according ttto the shop doing the work.

Hey Brad, send me the info on this if you could. I've got a second harness from Admore that does 12v only and no 5v. The wiring is different astyles well. The current harness you have works off 5v to 12v always positive signal. This other harness I'm working with them on should send a signal by completing a negative ground.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been working 12 hour shifts and weekends. Too tired for forums!

What kind of information do you need?  I will be picking up the bike today and can ask the techs what is going on.  They have flight so cal signal lights working with relays.  They said the harness pulses on the positive side rather than negative required by the VALK.

That is the part I find weird... I hooked my harness up with no problems and no relays needed. The harness has a controller that senses the the turn signal. I'd be very curious to know where they installed the harness, pre or post ecu.

When I mounted the running lites I got on line,I did use the Honda switch since there was a place to put it just below the gas cap release, and it came with a wire diagram as to where the ends were behind the lower front cowling. Had to add my own wire clips and modify the lite bracket so I could just attach the to existing bolts, cut the louvers out of the cowling and added some expanded metal guard in the holes and..... WALA all done...... since they are LED and from China I went back and ordered a spare set just to have on hand. Both sets cost me all of $80.00, and $54.00 for the Honda switch so, I think I came out ahead on saving money.   Made my own luggage rack, and mounts to add the Viking hard trunk behind me for those longer than 2 day trips. I happy enough with the Honda soft bags, they are fine, and big enough so the bike doesnt look like a pregnant cow from the back. I can send pictures by e-mail only, dont have them on a site to cut and paste here.
