I'm 6'4" tall and got my batwing with their tallest windshield.  I went on a 1,000 mile road trip. After the first day I suffered from tinnitus.  Luckily for me it was temporary with the help of ear plugs. I have it up and as forward as it goes with no help. Would the spoiler windshield work or should I try to make something to raise the whole fairing up? Do both? Also I see  the tri pouch will block my guages. Any help would be appreciated.

I've put on the little winglets on the bottom of the fairing. It helps. Lots 'o folks on here swear by their Bakers. I'd like to fab myself sumthin like that.

I'm 6' 2" and I have the same fairing with winglets and the tallest recurve windshield. I raised the complete fairing about 2" by use of some offset straps on the bracket mounts on the inside of the fairing. I also added a small piece of foam around the top of the headlight. It's pretty good now but I still get a few bugs splatting on my glasses !

Had the Memphis shades batwing on my cb750c. Horrible buffeting when I first installed it. The wind would beat my helmet so hard I started to get tunnel vision. I built brackets and repositioned it 6 times and only got it acceptable. Since then the bike was in a wreck and I rode it without the fairing. So much better. My interstate fairing was equally disappointing. Not so much buffeting but wind noise was deafening. It did have a shorty windshield from the previous owner. My current standard has a windshield installed, not sure of the brand, it was on already on it when I bought it. Works great, little buffeting blocks a lot of wind.
Sorry I don't have an answer just my experiences

You might try leaning it back instead of forward. You want less turbulence, not more.

What you want is a set of fork lowers.

As others have said...fork lowers/deflectors. Majority of that buffeting is coming up beside/in front of the tank. You can test by blocking it with your hands...but the lowers make a remarkable difference...(even with no shield!)

The Memphis Shades recurve windshield isn't tall enough for us tall guys.  Try the Long Rides recurve for the proper height for your batwing.  I'm 6-2 and am happy with the 12 inch.  By putting a hand in front of my helmet I can feel the wind being directed up and over.  Next time I might go for the 14 inch to create a dead spot behind the shield.  The link is below.

Also, lowers are a good idea.  I get zero buffeting at speed.

Thanks for all the help.  I bought the Longrides 14" and the mounts for the fork lowers. I have some acrylic sheet at work I'll modify since I  have Kuryakin bullets on my forks.
I'll let everyone know how it goes.
