Curley Wolf in the Wind!!!

I just installed new windshleld on my I/S. Trailered w/furnishings under tarp for move and got some light scratches on shield and side of side-bag cover. My friend has glass shop and provided me "CRL Optical Grade Cerium Oxide". It's used to remove light abrasions from glass. It's a light-pink colored powder. Sprinkled lightly on a damp piece of folded paper towel and dampened w/a spray, water bottle to a paste and rubbed in circular motion on the abraised places on my plexiglass windshield, it took the windshield to brilliantly clear.  I had a pretty good scratch on the top corner of one of my side bags and some light abrasions on one of the side-bag covers so I gave it a try. These items are solid-color all the way through and the light abrasions disappeared and the larger scratch was worked out to look much better. My friend gets this from C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. (#800-421-6144) and gave me a one-pound plastic container--On its cover it had "WORK SITE" CO301 and listed locations in Los Angeles & Union City, CA, Dallas, TX, Somerset, NJ, Elk Grove Village, IL, and Atlanta, GA.  Based upon my use this pound should last me almost forever as I used very little for what I did.  I just thought of you guys and that I'd share this.

I scratched the tank paint when wiping up gas with paper towels.  The paint appears to be very soft.  Maybe use a microfiber with your stuff for even better results.

If one doesn't need a gallon of the stuff, this appears to be another source.
