For those of us not going to Inzane this year, we have a little ride to Strawn for some comfort food at Mary's Cafe, home of the giant chicken fried steak.
Chicken fried steak @ Mary’s café (254-672-5741 119 Grant Ave.) on Hwy 16 or exit 361 to Strawn off I-20. It is 50miles west of Weatherford. Open 11am.
About a 100 mile, 2.5 hour trip
Ride starts at the RaceTrac Gas station on the NE corner of Hwy 199 and Loop 820
Meetup at 9:00am. All gassed up and ready to go for KSU 9:30 am.
North and East Dallas riders can meet Speedo (972 816-5892) at 8:15am at the McDonald's on the NW corner of I-635 and Montfort That’s one exit west off of 635 past Preston Rd). KSU at 8:30 am.
Main group KSU 9:30am at RaceTrac
Take FM 199 west (Lake Worth drive turns into Jacksboro Hwy)
After crossing Lake Worth on 199,
We take Watercress Drive to Silver Creek Road
FM 1886 west (Lakeside or Confederate Park road)
FM 730 South (Azle Hwy)
180 west to Weatherford (25miles) (Ft. Worth Hwy)
After downtown left on 312 (Ranger Hwy)
At Greenwood left on Dennis (Jones road)
Cross I-20 continue on Dennis road
Merge with 1189 south to Dennis then cross the creek
Follow 1189 or Brock Hwy
To Lipan and cross Hwy 4
Follow 1189 to Morgan Mill (281 crosses there)
Cross 281 and west on 1188 also 1715
1188 /1715 dead ends and go right/ north on 108 (919)
Cross I-20 to Gordon on 919
Left / west at Gordon on 193 to Mingus
913 becomes 108 at Mingus and to Strawn
108 (E. Housley street) to Strawn
One block left on Central Ave.
One block right on N. Front street
Left on Grant Ave
go eat
After lunch
16 North to 180 West to Palo Pinto (they have a nice museum there to visit if anyone wants) to Mineral Wells to Weatherford to Ft. Worth, then home. For those who are restless, south to I-20 and super slab back to the metromess.
