Someone on the board has said that they use an old pillow case to store their spare shield. Shield gets bowed a little when inserted into the case.

Will shield will return to its original shape no matter how long it is stored in the pillow case? (I store it in my garage on top of cabinets)

Don't know but if it were me and I was worried with scratches while storing I would use bubble wrap.

I stored my OEM Valkyrie shield in a box for five or six years, and it was still good.

I stored my OEM Harley shield "just hanging" from something, under a roof, the
sun probably shined on it every afternoon, several years of pollen got on it. The
coating (Valkyrie OEM shields have a coating too) was failed when I
got it down and tried to use it...

Cover it in something... the hardware will probably pop it back into shape,
but your concern is probably valid...

Hanging sounds like a good idea in the shed covered with a small sheet or bobble wrap. Thanks guys!
I was just didn't want to store it in a huge box.
