Hey, rode up the hill to Payson for breakfast, with my S.O., on the new GW, last Saturday morning.  Sal & Teresa's was closed.  So, since it was early, and the air was still crisp, we rode on up to June's Cafe in Heber.  It was well after 11:00 am when we rode back thru Payson and we noticed Sal & Teresa's was still closed.  Curiosity getting the better of me, I just tried to call Sal & Teresa's (being Tuesday just after 1:00 PM) and no answer.  I tried calling a second time, still no joy.

Don't know if the closure is just temporary or permanent, but, Taco Tuesdays is not looking good for the future.  Cry

I sent them a PM on the Face Book to see what was up. Will be disapointed if they are closed as I have a new rig just delivered that I want to try out...

I figure they missed us and they couldn't handle that kind of stress any longer.

I think you are going to look pretty funny riding in that sidecar with your wife driving.  2funny
On a serious note, How does it handle? Is there enough power with the 1500? Is there enough braking power or does the sidecar have it's own set of brakes? Does it scare the s--t out of the passager sitting so low?
Inquiring minds would like to know.

Can't answer all of those questions as I have only driven it on the test ride... Previous owner delivered it up from Tucson. Side Car has a brake connected to the Wings hydraulics. You can have a ride in the Car when I get comfortable driving it and then you can write your own report about how scared you were.  I'll even buy the Tacos...LOL

Let me know how it is once you have had it out a couple of times.I might even fit into it with the top down. I have lost 37 lbs in the last 5 months. I still have alot to go before I'm done. I don't fit into anything that I own and I'm having to buy all new riding gear.
Meathead let Brenda know that I'm have cut my metformin by 60% of what I was taking. My goal is to get off of it all together.

OK when I get comfortable driving it and feel safe carrying a passenger I will organize the "Rons first ride in a Side Car Rally". Most likely when it gets cooler out..  I'm sure it gets hot in that car.....LOL
37 Lbs? That must feel great...

I'm seeing a Nutritionists once every month and a half. Low carbs I get to have 51 carbs per meal 3 meals a day and 15 carbs per snack 3 times a day. I use and app called My Fitness Pal to keep track of Calories, fat, sodium, cards , sugar, fiber, potassium, protein and lot of other things. It has a huge data base of foods and a bar code scanner to enter new food items in. I bought 2 new pieces of exercise equipment and I'm up to an hour a day of exercise.

Why do all this you ask? I saw my doctor a few months ago my A1C had shot up to 9.8 and I was on the highest dose of metformin you can take and he wanted to put me on a 2nd medication for Diabetes. I told him enough is enough and I will get this under control. In 3 months I drop my A1C to 6.5 and taking 60% less metformin.
It is a lot of work to keep track of what you are eating but it is getting easier over time. The real work is to see how long I can maintain this routine and that is the reason I can't go on Taco Tuesday ride.( I didn't want to be excused of hijacking the thread)  2funny

This is great Ron  cooldude I have no doubt you will get to your goal of no Metformin. As you say, the hardest part is to maintain it once you get there. Sounds like you are going about it the smartest way.

Heaven forbid a thread on Sal & Teresa's contains a post about Sal & Teresa's  Grin

I happened across S & T's Show Low FB page. On June 28 someone commented "I thought you closed". The response from S & T's = "Show Low is still open".

I guess from that response, along with everything else, it is safe to say S & T's in Payson is no more.

Have a safe 4th everyone!
