I'm picking it up this weekend! My 2003 Standard modified to leather studded looking tourer will be in the garage soon. I'll begin decaling the bike in honor of the previous owner and have it back in the road quickly.

I'm still sad I'm getting the bike under such circumstances, but I am stoked to have both an old and new Valkyrie. Phenomenal machines!

I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I would want my Valk and other belongings to go to someone I know and trust. Hard pill to swallow? Yes.  Best of circumstances? No.
Am thinking he knew you were a good man  and that the bike would be in good hands. Enjoy it and savor the good memories. Say Hey to him when you leave the driveway. He may be with you on the ride.

Well I don't know all the details but look forward to seeing your new bike in person. Maybe when we can all get together for a ride or a Sonic Monday afternoon / evening in Milton. (It's not BF's bike is it?)  ???

It belonged to a man named Ricky Davis, who in my poinion, embodied the meaning and spirit of a motorcycle rider. he had the grit and the can do 2 wheel attitude. it did not matter what bike you were on, he gave you respect because you were on it. He inspired me to buy the new Valkyrie I have now. We remember him by saying "Ride Like Ricky Would"

That saying is going all over his bike, first in custom cut aircraft grade decals and ultimately as a paint job in the future. I also assured his wife that it will stay with me a long time as I have plans to sidecar the bike and take my son with me out to the road. Inspiring the next generation of riders on Ricky's bike would have put a smile on his face.

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

Boom. I know it may not be as snazzy as some of your IS's or the fancy Tourers but give me time and I'll make it truly something cool. I just can't help but tinker. Another old and new owner is here!
