I am the proud new owner of a 1999 Valkyrie Interstate. Odemetee has 100,000 but motor was replaced 10,000 miles ago. I'm loving it so far, the wife especially loves that comfy back seat..I'm interested in meeting other Valkyrie owners near me for rides and insight. Thanks in advance!

Howdy shanedee from Central Texas!  If you're ever out this way, be sure to send me a personal message through this site.  There's some wonderful Valkyrie riding folks in the area who we can hook up with and they love to hit the hills every chance they get.

FYI, I grew up in Baytown and went to Robert E. Lee High School.  My family had a patch of land at FM 1942 and Hadden Road with a few horses on it.  We called it "The Farm".

A big Saturday night out for us was to drive to Frank's in Dayton for steaks and onion rings after working all day at The Farm.  Man, those steaks were the best!

Ride safe, have fun!

Thanks for the replies. My address says Dayton but I'm actually closer to mont belvieu. It would be cool if we could get a few people together and go for a cruise. I was wanting to ask if all these motors are noisy, like clatter and such. My bike is completely stock and I think the actual engine noise is louder than the exhaust. Seems to run great though. Anyway, we'll have to set something up.

These engines do a little whining because of the straight cut gears. If you're running stock exhaust you may hear the engine noise some. I have high mileage bike and it is quieter than my low mileage bike that has straight pipes on it.

Get together, let's ride. There are plenty of nice roads in this area, unfortunately I have to ride a ways to get to them. That's alright, all riding is good for me unless you like hanging around the big city.  When you get with any of the knowledgable folks you will learn more about the Valkyrie. I have hearing loss due in part from working in the petrochemicals industry like Mr Bubbles, so my Interstate runs super quite, what noises are you hearing? LOL

To me the noise sounds like noisy valves. A tap or clatter. But the exhaust is super quiet so maybe I'm just hearing more motor noise than I'm used to hearing. The bike seems like it runs fine with plenty of power.

Sounds like the bike still has all the smog system intack  the pair valves make a clicking noise like valves that need adjusting. if it does either de-smog the bike or live with the sounds. most remove system as it is prone to vaccum leaks.
