Just picked up a 1999 interstate looking for a nice set of pipes. Found a set off a 1997 standard will they work on a interstate. Phil

Technically yes, but they would look funny, they are a tad shorter and the piggies are vertical which puts them closer to the bags

They'd look the way Tourers look. It would look like an Interstate with Tourer pipes... I haven't seen many of those. My Tourer had Interstate pipes on it for a while, I liked it. -Mike

I just put std/T pipes on my IS, because I go them at a good price.
I'll be fixing my IS pipes (piggies cut off), and swap the back onto the bike.
If I can get a picture, I'll post, but except for the trunk, it looks like a Tourer. I like the longer pipes and the horizontal opening under the bags. If I had a Tourer, I would put IS pipes on it.

Get them and put a 4" I D extension on them . Most parts stores can get you chrome extensions . I bought mine with 45 degree turn outs. I located and drilled one hole in the oem location.

Replaced my pigless IS pipes with some Tourer pipes. Didn't like the looks, so swapped my triple tips from my Tourer to the 'state. Probably one of very few Interstates with triple tips. Looks good.

They're not Horseapple, they came from Airflow - http://www.airflo.com/valkyrie.html

I've got Honda Triple Tips on my Tourer. I think I prefer the look of the standard end caps.
