Not mine but someone here might be interested.

Here is some more pics from another ad.

The guy who bought the bike came by my house to buy an old exhaust from me. I have seen the controls in person and they look great!

I often wondered how well they switch gears.

"Won't find another cleaner". LOL. He hasn't been on this site obviously.

"Chrome everywhere you could put it". Really? Big open hole by ignition and fuel valve for 1.

I often wondered how well they switch gears.

I've had them for about 75,000 miles now, I love them,
use them all the time... "real" shifter and brakes for
chasing through the mountains and also ones to
use when you're cruising with your feet up...

I always wondered what the phat gurl would be like to ride with forward controls and I spoke with the guy selling this stuff yesterday and we were supposed to meet today midway between Largo and Bradenton. Yesterday he was all for it, but today not so much.

Apparently a retired guy, Mitch doesn't seem to have the time to ride to meet me mid-point between our 50 mile distance even though he was out on a 60-70 mile ride yesterday and I was unable to get with him then; for Mitch, it's just too much trouble and too far to ride for the price involved.

With 2 businesses to run, and limited free time available, I guess I'll never know what those forward controls ride like. But for anyone out there who's interested, the forward controls are still available.

I want it and I don't - therefore I will let it go - I think - Does that make sense?

Perfectly. Kinda why they remain unsold. And, he didn't want to drive 50 miles round trip and he never rides to south St Pete either. He's not in need to sell. I'm not in the mood to buy. I figured that I'd try them out and if I wasn't pleased with the results, someone on the board would want them and I'd pass them along. All that chrome clashes with all the black powder coating on the valve covers and crash bars anyway.

The guy usually makes more batches of them eventually, just keep track at
his web site:

FYI...... Mitch called yesterday and asked if I was still interested in the forward controls and we met up. The Craigslist ad states that all mounting hardware is included. That is not the case. He refused to include the main mounting bracket, which is a 5/8th - 3/4 the inch square tube that the shifter and brake controls mount to the bike.

Without this mount, there is no way to mount anything. It was still mounted on his bike with some aux. lights mounted to it. And he would not negotiate the price. There is no way to know what other parts might be missing.

BE AWARE if you respond the this ad.

Good catch.  Not good to make a statement like that and not have all items needed.  I have decided I do not want forward controls.

Don (old fart). Take note as I know you had interest at bfast yesterday.

Thanks, Jerry. The first response from thewoodman had pretty well turned me off from ever doing business with this guy. The last response seals the deal. If all the parts aren't there, the whole deal is worthless.

The square tube is just a generic piece of foo... Frank Smoak
changed his out with a stronger piece of angle iron. I bent mine
when I tightened down on mine.

Given that the main mounting bracket is generic, it still would be a good idea to have a template to work from before making any changes or alterations, and since the ad stated that all mounting hardware was included, there seemed to be a dishonest element to the sale.

What bothered me the most about the missing mounting bracket is the fact that there is no way to verify other missing parts. The seller did not remove the controls from his motorcycle, he had someone else do it. He said everything was included in the sale and that is just not true.

Buyer beware!
