I don't think the stock Showa shocks are rebuildable.

I assume you're talking about I/S carb springs? Need to be a bit more specific in the future, it's #11 in the parts breakdown.

Well maybe I'm showing my age. But shocks consist of various parts. Fluid dampeners, springs, etc. It used to be on most shocks you could rebuild them. Sometimes changing the springs for a different rate. Some shocks even had dual springs in them. Some had remote reservoirs for the fluid.

FWIW I thought the OP was asking about shock springs also beings he didn't say frt. fork springs. Oh well I guess I'm a antique also.

OK guys, stop kicking yourselves with the "aging" thing.  Wink I also thought of shock springs at first but the way he posed his question("put them in my Std.") turned me to carb springs. Since I have at least 20 yrs. on Meathead, maybe the "aging" thing causes you to have more insight. Just kidding....except for the 20 yrs.  Grin

Just a little advise to OP. Do one side at  a time so you have a reference. Make a mark or two on choke linkage to verify correct install. Be aware of the small spring under the forward choke linkage screw. Also the black inserts install flat side down. Get two small rags and put between intakes that way if parts get dropped you won't have to fish them out from top of motor. Just my 2 cents.
