Traffic on the t'pike was flying, had to run nearly 80 just to keep from getting run over. That really sucks up the gas, on the way home I dialed the cruise in just below 3k rpm, what a difference. Sorry I couldn't stay longer to chat after eating, really needed to get back soon as possible. Rolled in the garage at 11:15, shut the door right away to keep the cool air inside. On the trip home I used my cool vest which I had soaked at home and put in a plastic bag. Before leaving for home, I dumped more water on it....really felt good at speed. It was almost dry by the time I got home.

Was good seeing everyone, first good ride I've had in quite a few weeks.

Foggy this morning to a great ride and a much larger than I thought gathering we had Bert back in the saddle and heck we even had Flask!!! Pappy and John came over. Jym and some of his friends.  Great day and I'm not sure about others but, I had a very tasty breakfast!  I am definitely in for another visit to cinnamon sticks.   Good day back on the 1500.  And now for the guy that does not "G-A-S" you are taking this a bit too far now-- dirty bike again and no more pictures! Sheesh!  2funny

So here is a few pics.

I forgot to add one little item about my trip up this morning. I was cruising along, running just under 80, leaned back and relaxed with the feet on the highway pegs and noticed a bright blue "something" in the mirror coming up fast....a little deuce coupe ragtop. It had been obviously turned into a resto mod and they did a beautiful job....sitting nice and low, great looking wheels with larger rubber in back, full fendered and all. He pulled up adjacent but didn't roll past for a few seconds, the rumble from the pipes told me this ain't no Model A four banger.  Grin  I gave him the thumbs up along with the curled index and thumb together, letting him know I thought it was just right. He laughed, pointed to my bike and returned the sign....then punched it and was gone. Man that was a thing of beauty, loved the sound. Hope all the drool on my shirt didn't bother anyone when I got there.  Grin

When I get done with the 1200 project, I've been hinting at getting a late 60's or early 70's p/u to build and modernize. Every time I mention it Rita starts saying "drip, drip, drip" in reference to the Oriental water torture. Then adds "make sure the back end is big enough for a mattress." I keep telling her we could then sell the bike hauler trailer but it doesn't faze her. Doesn't look like I'll be getting a p/u any time soon.  Cry
