takin'er apart

Got the shocks off. Got most of the bag rails off, enough
that I can reach in and pull things apart.
I finally got a socket on the four nuts on the drive line,
and finally got that inside lower one loosened, tough to get at.
I've also gotten the swing arm above the muffler, so I can pull the axle out from above.
The question. After I pull the four nuts on the drive line, then pull the axle,
Does The Wheel Pull Out?? What am I gonna find?

You will need to take off the brake caliper and mount.......... the axel goes thru it and there is a bolt forward on the swing arm..... the wheel will come out much better ..... more room and
There is an online shop manual ..... I think I have it on my computer someplace
.... Will send unless someone else sends to first....

Those 4 nuts do not get removed to just remove the wheel. The wheel needs to slide [ left] off the drive and then back.
The rear drive and shaft only are removed if you are servicing the drive shaft which probably should be done if it hasn't in awhile.
Once the axle has been installed then those 4 nuts are tightened.

Open ChrisJ's power point on the rear end, in shoptalk.
Swing the caliper up and remove the spacer. Hang the caliper on a coat hanger (or something), not the brake line.
Find the slot in the bottom of the pumpkin plastic center circle (dust cover) and pry apart.
