If it wasn't for my Valkyrie, I wouldn't have had the
privilege of meeting all you clowns !!!   crazy2

I miss the raw power....hole-shots and roll-on acceleration
Little better gear ratio...a 6th gear would have been nice
More accessories to customize.... besides the KurriedChicken "one size fits all"
Bigger fuel tank.... 5 gallons on a cruise missile REALLY !!!   (I remember hitting reserve on a ride from Bangor to Augusta on the interstate...less than 70 miles)

I agree with both of you 100%. One of the nicest bikes I have ever owned. Fortunately, I have my Rocket 3 Roadster when I want exhilarating performance, but the Valk was a unique machine that I enjoyed for many years, along with all the nice people I met..

Did you really do that?!  And I thought the range on my Meanie sucked.

My new 2014 Valk consistently gets 200 miles before I even have to think about worrying where I want to fuel up.  And yes, that was from Bangor too  Wink

Yep, sure did "really do that" ....buddy and I opened the bikes up for an exhilarating sprint down I95.
We were on our way to a benefit poker ride in Manchester, NH the following morning. Once all 6 carburetors are fully opened, they become quite thirsty !!! I remember feeling that 'sputtering' under my ass a few miles before the exit ramp in Augusta. The ride from Augusta to Portland (where we spent the night enjoying plenty of beer and a little smoke) was 'less spirited'........

"Spirited"?  I can just picture what that means cooldude

I was putting along at a "little" over the speed limit last night on the spaulding turnpike in Merrimack, NH when two "crotch rockets" passed me, one on each side and they were probably doing in the 120+ range.  scary as crap because I didn't see them.   Roll Eyes Shocked

Once we hit top speed exiting the Odlin Rd on ramp of I 95, neither of us rolled back on the throttle....
Jeff's Two Brothers Racing exhaust system and other mods produced slightly better hp that my glasspacs and minor mods.  I'm sure my 75 lbs of extra weight didn't help either !!

Dan, I wonder if it was the same two guys I saw about a week ago on the Everett. Kathy and I were up that way on a Saturday and two knuckleheads went by us, splitting traffic and passing on both sides. Well in excess of the 80mph's I was doing. They bailed off at the ramp for the airport dragging pegs around the big sweeper. Not cool.

Wall
They went by so fast I couldn't even identify the makes and I swear the sound from the bikes came after they went by.  Shocked Angry
I think they got off at the 293 exit but I'm not sure.  Last time I saw something that fast was at the track in Loudon.  Roll Eyes Shocked
