Hello guys, after looking at the schematic diagrams, and some modifications from the previous owner i discovered something i dont like at all...
if you take a look at this schematic
http://www.rattlebars.com/valkfaq/schematics/rpage05i.html there is a power lead from the bank angle relay to the right side handlebar switch box, its a black/light green wire that is supposed to have 12V in order for the bike to run and operate the starter relay (i've had some issues with that if you remember on a previous post).
Well.. Someone was smart enough to fix this with a quick splice connector. they figured they were not getting 12v at the black/light green wire so they just hooked up from another source. they quick spliced the black/light green with a black wire right on the handlebar switch connector. the black wire provides 12v for the brake switch.
i dont know how long the bike has been running like this before i got her and i've owned her for 6 months now and been somewhat trouble free other than the starting thing that requires to pull the clutch even while in neutral for the bike to crank.
I am uncomfortable knowing that if i get a short on the tail light circuit (thats where my ignition power is coming) ill not be able to start the bike anymore.
i removed my seat, both side covers, battery cover but i couldn't locate the back angle relay, the schematics at rattlebars specify that it is under the seat so in front of the battery i located two black boxes, the one on the front is the flasher relay but the other next to it i was not able to pull it as the wiring is very tight and i have no clue if it is what im looking for.
at the very front right behind the center plastic cover that has the keyhole for removing the seat i saw what appears to be the bank angle sensor but is too far for my reach.
can you help me out telling me where exactly is the relay and tell me the best way to remove it since the harness is too tight and wont let me pull it up to disconnect it (im guessing it has a clip or something that keeps the connector in place) and will try to pull out the bank angle sensor but i dont know how to test it.
