Last minute ride to Bentleys Saloon in Maine

When everything points to Maine you just have to go,,, right !!!!

Last Saturday I get a call from a friend in North Carolina saying he will be in Naples Maine all week and I should come up for lunch one day..
Maybe an hour later a regular customer  comes into the shop and knowing I ride he asks "have you ever been to this big Biker Bar called Bentleys in Maine?? I was just up there and the place is great"
Then Sunday a riding friend tells me he just heard of a place called Bentleys and we should go. Well that's enough for me, I said OK lets go.. So I closed up the shop at 5 PM Monday and headed out to get a few miles past Hartford. Stopped just into Mass and then headed out early Tues am. Rolled into Naples about 9:15 and found their place. We sat around talking over coffee and I started with the fact that they came PAST MY HOUSE to get to Maine from North Carolina. He answers with --- well your up here aren't you !!!  yeah, yeah, yeah smart guy.
  After catching up for a while we all jumped on the bikes and took a nice ride ending up at Bentleys Saloon. We had our fill of Lobster and I started figuring times and traffic and figure 4:00 was a good time to head South for home. Other then a Brush Fire on 495 the ride went well and I got in a ride with old friends. Pretty friggin good day!!

It was real nice to get away.  One of these days I hope to get the time to make it all the way to Bar Harbor.

Dan, you may enjoy yourself more if you wait for all the damn tourists to leave !!
Well, there's a good possibility snow would be on the ground then ... so come when you can.
