While the tech is cool, knowing I was only utilizing 30%-50% of my lighting at any one time would annoy the snot outta me, just on a geeky basis... I'd want a way to light the whole freaking thing up at once.

I have contacted JW Speaker to see if I can be a small time distributor so I can sell a kit with the headlight already in the bracket. Thinking I will get the Adaptive headlight for my bike as a marketing tool. It's still uncommon to see a Valkyrie with a DayMaker in it so my hopes would be that something as out of the ordinary as the Adaptive headlight would catch more eyes and ask more questions.

With that said though I saw three bikes at the GOTF's utilizing my bracket and running DayMakers. I recently confirmed that I will a be able to make it to InZane this year, and very excited to see more up there.

If you are going to InZane this year and looking for an affordable upgrade that not only will give you superior lighting but will also give your old gal a face lift, well.. what are you waiting for?

I found that 98-02 Shadow Aero 1100 VT1100C3 have the same headlight bucket as the Valkyrie.

I would like to reach out to the Shadow community, but finding it difficult to post on their forums. I will also try Facebook.

Wondering if there are any members here that also ride Shadows that could give me some insight.

For any "on the fence" as it were...I'm running a Daymaker (half halo) and Josh's bracket.

Love it. Great upgrade!

I have either one or two brackets. Haven't done the change over yet.
What is a good (cost effective) headlight for it?

Bought a bracket from Josh and my daymakers from eBay. Both worked great. Easy install and very happy with results. Thanks Josh! cooldude

I, too, have one of Josh's brackets, but haven't made the jump yet. I currently have a Cyclops LED light ... https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/7000-Lumen-H4-LED-Headlight-Bulb_p_169.html  that was talked about here a couple of years ago. I'm very happy with the light, but could always use more.

Is there anyone out there that has made the swap that could enlighten us?   Cheesy

I've been running this light for the whole season:

https://www.scootlights.com/collections/daymaker-7/products/copy-of-7-daymaker-replacement-chrome-blue-halo-angel-eye-hid-led-light-1

It's spectacular. The difference in lighting is such that I won't go back. However, my package didn't come with any adapters pictured, and Scootlights dodged the opportunity to send me the correct adapters when I complained. They did try to sell me some bullshit wire harness. End result my halo is still not connected.

Thanks to Darksider and his bracket. Just one note that you should be aware of: The bracket, when mounted, sits slightly below center. Think about two concentric circles, the smaller one exactly in the middle of the other one... now imagine moving the inner circle downwards so that it almost touches the bottom of the outer circle. That's roughly the placement of the light in the bucket. There is a gap around the light perimeter BUT Darksider said it wouldn't be a problem and he was correct, it isn't a problem at all. The light and bracket are awesome.

I installed a daymaker with a bracket from Josh. It was a little 'fiddly' but that is likely my issue Smiley.
Certainly a lighting upgrade worth the effort.
Scootlights delivered fast and well packaged and Josh hand delivered the bracket. ( your delivery may vary )

To keep you Non-Facebook'rs up to date.

Big News! I have teamed up with Eagle Lights, and am now selling DayMakers Headlights with my Adapter Bracket mounted as a kit.

Ordering is simple;
 - Got to https://www.eaglelites.com/collections/7-led-headlights, and pick out a headlight.
 - Email me ValkyrieJosh@gmail.com with your selection.
 - I will then give you a total, and a way to make payment.
