Hangin' out here beats a tree on the head any day!

....i used to have several good friends here in the Montgomery area that had Valks and road with us...like from 1997-2000 or so. anyway, all of them....sadly...one by one sold their Valks. they either changed jobs and got too busy to ride...had health issues...got divorced..etc.

Anyway, one of them...that had sold his bike due to personal issues and job issues....i ran into him a few months back. he said he was ready to get back into bikes...and sure wished he had his old Valk back. told me to keep an eye out for any good Valks for sale.

Well, about two months ago...i saw HIS OLD BIKE...a distinctive cream and yellow...with color matched Champion bags..and an aftermarket windshield. It was DEFINITELY his old bike. and it was MINT...hardly any miles....looked like it had been kept in a garage and hardly ridden! i saw it at a local bar Sherry and i go to most weekends. I went into the bar...and tried to find the owner....just for the heck of it. But had no luck....and eventually, when i went back out...the bike was gone.

i thought about telling my old buddy i had seen his old bike, but figured that would perhaps just make him sad?

TODAY.........i get an email from my old buddy. He ran into his old bike (ok, saw it parked at an Auto Zone...he didn't RUN into it...literally!). he waited outside the AutoZone until the guy came out. Long story short, the guy actually....upon my buddy asking....was willing to sell the bike BACK TO HIM! Seems the guy wanted a Harley....so was willing to sell the Valk (go figure?).

MY BUDDY, BOUGHT BACK HIS OLD BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!  And, he says in all these years (like 8-9 years)...the other guy only put 4000 miles on it, and...it looks and runs JUST LIKE THE DAY HE SOLD IT!!!!!!!!

I love a happy ending....... cooldude  he says he'll get with me soon to go riding !!!!!!!!!
