I have a friend who is selling his 99 Valkyrie and I think he bought it new but it only has 8191 miles on it.  He has done a LOT of customization to it and has all the original parts.  He is a "little" anal about his toys (and he has a lot of them), meaning he has it serviced every year but has been having trouble riding it for awhile.  It's gotten to the point where he needs to sell it but he doesn't know what to use as a selling price.  I've mentioned north of $7,000 but I'm looking for some input from you experts out there.

That's a really nice bike and wow on the miles!  I have not a clue on what that should go for however.  I would look at the Valkyrie classifieds and see what people are asking for a non-custom and also look at Eby to see what people are asking.

Experts?  Where we keeping those?

That's a nice looking ride, but unfortunately, custom paint is a harder sell.

It's a standard with some nice accessory's (pegs , boards, pipes, bags, seat and light bar) and low miles, but it's a standard.

I think 7K is some what high, but if he doesn't need the scratch, put it out there.

He can always lower the price, kinda hard to raise it.

He could also but the OEM stuff back on and sell the sparkly stuff on their own.

If he's got the original OEM pipes, they are bringing some serious $$ these days.

I didn't mention selling the oem stuff but I will now.  He was just gonna give it to whoever bought the bike.   cooldude

Thanks
