I will start with the handoff from Connecticut to New York
which started at the old Marcus Dairy in Danbury Ct and ended at the cannon at Cold Spring NY

I think from left to right is
G-man, Bonzo, Barry, Dyno-Dave,Oss,RonBou,DanBury,Dalai-Lama

If my memory is correct, this next one is several years earlier at the original Thor handoff in Ct.    I ended up riding down to the Intrepid (aircraft carrier)docked on the west side of Manhattan then up to the top of Perkins Drive to hand this off to the New Jersey crew.
Alana is in the pic with me

With the hammer back in '04...I had just picked this one up after having to go a year without a bike after totaling my other one on BRP by a left turner

What year did that happen?  The mug relay, rather than the hammer relay, that is.  Knowing that will help me know where to start looking for pictures.

The Thor's Hammer relay was in 2004.  The Valhalla Voyage relay (with the Viking mugs) was in 2008.

I rode the leg of the Voyage passing the mugs from Kansas to Missouri in February.

Later in the Voyage we could find no one to relay though Wyoming and Montana so I rode up to meet Iowa and joined the relay across South Dakota.

Then I carried the treasure across Wyoming and Montana

and into Alberta.

Some of us just have to do what needs to be done.

Thanks, Willow.  I'll see what I can come up with when I have some time.  Because it was eight years ago, I have no idea what pictures I took, But I remember that after we got the mugs from you, Mike (from Hinton, AB, I believe) took the mugs up to Edmonton.  Mike and I are on either side of you in this picture (Mike in white), taken in Lethbridge, AB.  I wish I could remember the other two fellows.

I was a little less shaggy previously (and since), here receiving Thor's hammer from Montana's representative:

If it helps you at all to remember I do recall they were Canadiens.   Smiley

Well, they might have been French-Canadians!

Here's my photo from the same time, cropped somewhat:

I think the left-most fellow is abiceman.

Thor's handoff, Muncie Indiana rest stop on I69  Don't remember the mugs.

Fudgie should have pics of the handoff in northern Indiana, if memory serves.

My pictures had to be dredged from backups, but I'm glad I found them...

Some of us SC guys met the GA guys at Hartwell dam, I think that is Duffy's
VTX, I guess Duffy is taking the picture... Stanley Steamer was there too...

I took part in the relay, but it is rare that I take pictures. Sorry Evan.  cooldude

California leg of The Hammer Run in April `04. Rendezvoused in Hopland with a gent from San Jose. Took it north up the coast to meet with the Oregon Crew. We all camped at the Best Western in Crescent City. Had a good time over dinner and a few beers, then did the formal deed the next morning at the State line.

Beach at hamlet of Orick

Pic of Paul Bunyan - look close to see wife unit is holding the hammer.

The deed is formally done . . .

The Oregon crew . . .  and  Cool

Yeah, I hardly recognize myself. The wifeunit's hair now matches the chrome on the bike. My mustache is as white as the stripe on my jacket. That was a 700 mile journey. For the Glory!

2008.

Here is my selfie picking up the package in Fort Wayne. Brought it back to Indy and met Jabba (and Squealer I believe) and another rider or two.

Found some Indy photos in my email.
