I installed Radiantz Led lights in my interstate trunk light assembly's, and they are bright !!
Now all 4 are parking lights and brake lights. The dragons have 3M reflective tape so they glow when a head light shines on them too, I used my flash to simulate the head lights.

Very nice work.  May I ask what Radiantz part number(s) these LEDs are?  I have an I/S trunk on a standard - and have run the Radiantz LEDs for years in my stock tail light.  Like your's - it's way bright!  I'd like to make the same mod to the trunk lights.

Grumpy gave me another distributor, their light cluster has 30 LED's & is 1.85" round clusters too, they come with a built in flasher unit.
http://www.shop.braggengineering.com/product.sc?productId=3&categoryId=1

Hey Cowboy, Did these lights fit without modification. Did you have to cut wires etc. Looks great, I might do the same!  Thanks

.  It looks like some splicing and soldering would be required, a bit more for the flasher bulbs.  Did you have to glue or silicone these in?  I'm guessing you had to remove the trunk, is it difficult getting to those bulbs?

I'll be posting the step by step later today, so look for it with pic's too.
The light assembly comes out after you remove the 2 philip screws from inside the trunk. you have to wiggle the light assembly out and unplug them.

ok here is the step by step procedures
1-disconnect and remove the light assembly (2 Philip screws from inside the trunk). You will have to separate the lens from the assembly. The lens is glued on with hot glue. I used a heat gun and worked it around till it softened up the glue.

I used a hole saw to cut 2-2" and 2-21/4" round disc's per light made from some 1/2" Star board I had lying around, but you can use plywood too. I used JB weld and glued them together then I glued them in side the sockets.

I then used some screws in from the sides to secure the pucks as an added reassurance so they will stay were I glued them. Then you need to drill thru the pucks and housings on an angle to run your wires to the back.

Take the puck lights and peel the double sided tape to the inside and press them on good don't forget to center them in the opening.
You can then seal the holes from the old lights I used a button and a bottle cap cut to size.

the wiring is straight forward, cut the wires to the connector off and solder the remaining wire to the appropriate color wire.
green is ground
green with yellow strip is brake
brown is parking
I used a bit of shrink boot instead of electrical tape.
all that is left is to re-glue the lens back on. just run the heat gun over the glue a few times to soften it up and press the 2 half's together.
don't worry if the lens breaks in the flat between the 2 lights the glue will hold it all together when your done.
test it before re-installing them to make sure the solder and wires are done right.
good luck  coolsmiley

Awesome, Steel Cowboy. This is  a great project that's easy to do and I'm excited to get more light at the aft end of my Interstate. Thanks for the write up. I assume the nighttime performance is great. How is the daylight performance?

Those pictures were in daylight, they appear brighter at night. I'm going to order a brake light modulator from China (I hope Trump doesn't read this column). being that LED light is not like an incandescent bulb its instant on and instant off were as a bulb is dim on dim off, the flash rate will apper to be more pronounced.

Just did mine this afternoon Steel Cowboy after seeing the parts sitting in a box for a month.  Even though your pictures weren't showing up any more it wasn't that hard to figure out with your instructions.

I couldn't believe all the glue they used to hold the lens on.  Only thing I did different was I drilled a small hole in the housing on the big side to run the wires out then used a dab of silicone to seal the hole and inserted the empty bulb socket back in the hole.  I also didn't have a 2 1/4 hole saw so I used a 2 1/2 and filed  a part of one side flat to match the profile of the housing so it would lay flat.

Over all I was surprised by how bright they were, thanks again for the write up.
